DN Back in the Studio!!

Hi All.

Just wanted to reach out and let you guys know about what's in store for in DN in the coming year. On a spur of the moment opportunity we will be jumping back in the studio this month to begin recording what will be our first full length album. We will be heading back to Phat Buddha Productions in St. Louis once again to lay down tracks in the birthplace of our E.P. PuLsE. Everyone in the band is really excited about getting some of our new material out and available for everyone.

DN will also be hitting the road harder than ever, taking our show to east coast for the first time ever! Then, of course, BACCHANALIA '09 is really just around the corner. I've already begun work on what will undoubtedly be two-day musical experience like no other. And last but not least, we are gearing up for the release of new video footage from DN's performance at last year's BACCHANALIA. Keep an eye out!

Alright, so I've had the idea to put on a music festival in Columbia for many years now. There's a handfull of you out there that have heard rambling about it time to time. But it wasn't until last year that I took the time to actually write up a business plan and put it in action. Found the investor I needed and a bazillion meetings later, BACCHANALIA is an actuality.

The concept, bring a couple of quality headliners that Mid-MO has had little interaction with, and the best of the best of midwest music behind that, and I'd like to think we have the most kickass party bound to take place in Como this year. The regional acts playing BACCHANALIA are the bands that define what makes midwest music something that should be noticed.

Little did I know when I started this that we would get Les Claypool as our main act. It's been over ten years since Claypool was in Como with Primus back in '96, and after seeing him throw down at BONNAROO, I can say that the people of Missouri are in for a treat.

Devotchka, is another act that has yet to be in Columbia. Their eclectic, multi-instrumental stylings has come to blow my mind in the past few months of listening to their new record "A Mad and Faithful Telling."

This is it people. The sum of my passion all rolled up in this festival. Let's blow it out, and make our first year a success. That happens and plans are already in motion to make BACCHANALIA a camping festival next year.

CD RELEASE PARTY ANNOUNCED!

Hey all, sound the horns and let it be known, DN will be taking The
Blue Note stage in Columbia, MO on Friday, May 9th for the CD Release
Party of our second, self-titled E.P. We have Mindrite (Des Moines,
IA), and 360 Smile (St. Louis, MO) sharing the stage with us and we
are honored to have such badasses helping us celebrate! The first 100
people through the door will recieve a copy of the CD FREE! The first
50 get FREE CUPCAKES! No jokes people, what would a party be without
cupcakes?

May 10th the new CD will be available through iTunes, Napster, and our
own merch store at www.decadentnation.com. Keep an ear out as we will
be hitting the road in full force this summer!
